guild wars 2
Posted by: Matt Liebl Guild Wars 2 developer ArenaNet may not have a release date in mind for their highly anticipated MMO, but the company is already planning expansion content "for years to come." That may not surprise many of you given that Guild Wars 2 is an MMO game which are designed with the long haul in mind. In all honesty, a solid MMO developer should always be looking to the future for their game, otherwise they end up with a disappointing end game that disappoints players. However,

Guild Wars 2: More Closed Beta Spots To Come
There is good news for fans of the MMO Guild Wars. There will be more spots available to Closed Beta participants for Guild Wars 2. The first run has just finished and there is a need for more people to test the game. “More people” here does not just refer to new people but to the fact that the next closed beta test will be a larger event. More creepy-crawlies are emerging from the shadows to join the ranks of Funcom's upcoming horror-inspired title, The Secret World. The studio revealed today three new creatures that players will face in-game: the Bogeyman, Jack O'Lantern, and the mud golem. For those of you still waiting to get into Star Wars: The Old Republic, your anticipation is well founded. Since my first report on the start of my “saga”, I have been able to get through the prologue, reach level 10, and was rewarded with my very first lightsaber.
Fans of massively multiplayer online role-playing games are familiar with the act of level grinding. Non-fans are familiar with grinding too, though not in a favorable way. Those tedious but necessary hours of building up a character through the mass slaughter of in-game wildlife is quite often the reason why the genre's critics turn their backs on World of Warcraft and its ilk.
The clock is ticking -- 2011 is winding down (less than six weeks left!) and Guild Wars 2 fans everywhere have closed beta on the brain. This news has been out there for a very long time, but just to eliminate any confusion, I'll go straight to a recent quote from Martin Kerstein: "We will enter CBT before the end of the year, and depending on the results
